Location: Cape Town, South Africa

A 12-month SETA internship exists within our IT department based in Cape Town. For this period the incumbent will form part of the IT team and will provide support as follows.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Install and test desktop software applications and internet browsers
- Configure network connectivity
- Install standard Office applications
- Creating flow diagrams/network diagrams. Assist with ad hoc IT projects
- Test computers to ensure the proper functioning of computer systems
- Interact with staff on desktop problems and their resolution
- Handle daily technical support activities on desktop support
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- The prospective incumbent must possess the following competencies: Good communication skills (both oral and written), willingness to assist, attention to detail, problem-solving skills
