Duties and responsibilities:
- Compile a database with full details of tutors.
- Assist with ad hoc problem-solving where venues are concerned.
- Book venues and schedule online links for tutorial and training purposes.
- Resolve venue and online tutorial challenges.
- Assist tutors in specific modules with planning and implementing session plans.
- Capture attendance data on Oracle for reporting and research purposes.
- Assist TLCs (Teaching and learning Coordinators) with providing thorough, constructive feedback to tutors during observations.
- Assist with Ad-hoc claims for tutor payments.
- Liaise with tutors and develop an evaluation schedule for each semester.
- Distribute, collect, scan, and capture evaluation forms for reporting purposes.
- Assist with portfolio assessments and session plan submissions on Blackboard.
- Assist the programme with carrying out research initiatives.
Education Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree at NQF level 7.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven computer skills, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively with others and have good interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills and can manage events/processes effectively and independently.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Basic qualitative research skills.
- Tutoring or academic facilitator experience in Higher education.
