Seriti is offering bursaries for students at University of Science or University of Technology in the below mentioned fields of study.

Fields of study:

Electrical (Heavy Current) & Mechanical Engineering: BSc/BEng/NDip/AdvDip – (2nd, 3rd, 4th year)
Survey: Bachelor of Mine Surveying, BTech, NDip – (Final year)
Geology: BTech/BSc Geology – (Hons)
Occupational hygiene (VOHE): (major in Occupational Hygiene) – (Final year)
BSc Mining/Engineering/BTech Science – (Final year)
Rock Engineer: BSc Engineering (Mining) – (Final year/hons)
BSc Geology (hons)/BEng Tech – (Final year/hons)
Metallurgy: BSc Eng/BEng/BTech in extractive metallurgy – (2nd, 3rd, 4th year)
Chemical engineering – (2nd, 3rd, 4th year)
Finance: Bachelor of Commerce in Finance – (2nd year)
Human Resources: Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource/Labour Law/related qualification – (2nd year)
Environment: BSc Environmental related/BTech – (Final year)
Corporate & Community Relations: BA Communication Science/Public Relations equivalent – (Final year)

Application Requirements (Who can apply?):

Students who are currently in their 2nd, 3rd, 4th year of study
Students already registered at an accredited tertiary institution
Results above 60%
Bursaries will not be awarded to students studying a bridging course/foundation program
Valid South African ID
Copy of 2022 Academic record
Brief CV

Bursary will cover:

Accommodation allowance
Meal allowance
Book allowance
Tuition fees for 2023 (excluding the previous year’s failed subjects/modules or 2022 outstanding tuition fees including interest charged

Bursary Terms & Conditions:

Student must pass studies
Obligation to provide vacation work if required
Work back obligation for students upon completion of their studies
Specific focus will be placed on students from our communities
Applicants that are beneficiaries of any other Bursary Programme and/or sponsorship will not be considered
