Scatec Bursaries for 2023
We invite all university students to apply for the Scatec Post-Graduate bursary program. (Honours, Masters and Phd)
This is an all-inclusive bursary offered to talented individuals who are planning to study full-time or currently studying full-time towards a postgraduate degree in selected Engineering qualifications.
Fields of study:
Applications may be submitted for degrees (Honours, Masters or Phd) in one of the following fields of study:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
Requirements:
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must have completed a relevant degree
- You must be studying or intend on studying full-time within one of the aforementioned fields of study
- You must be studying or intend on studying at a university that is recognised or accredited by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
- Successful completion of undergraduate studies
- Preference will be given to students from previously disadvantaged designated groups within South Africa
What the Bursary Offers:
- Registration fees
- Tuition fees (no payment for repeat modules)
- Prescribed textbooks
- Meal allowance
- Accommodation
- A once-off Computer and Calculator allowance
- Work opportunities (with a work-back obligation/pay-back obligation) – based on Company needs
- Development opportunities
- Psyche-social support (Student discussions / Workshops / EAP – Employee assistance programme)
- Work opportunities (with a work-back obligation/pay-back obligation) – based on Company needs

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your application:
- South African ID document or smart card (certified copy)
- Matric certificate AND full tertiary academic record (certified copies)
- Proof of University registration or acceptance (on institutions letterhead)
- Curriculum Vitae (in PDF or MS Word format)
