PSG invites South African students to enter or apply for the Bursary Programme 2023 academic year.
Bursaries will be awarded to students who want to further their careers in the financial services industry, specifically for the following fields of study:
- Actuarial Science
- Applied Mathematics
- Chemical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Informatics
- Information Systems
- Information Technology
- Mathematics
- Software Development
- Statistics
The bursary will provide coverage of the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed textbooks etc.
Apart from the financial support, students will also receive the following benefits:
- Mentoring, coaching and support
- Entrance into the PSG graduate programme
- Working experience within the financial services industry
Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must have completed Matric
- You must be studying towards a degree qualification within one of the fields listed above
- You must be in your final year, Honours or Masters level
- You must have achieved a good academic average
- You must be interested in pursuing a career in the financial services sector
- You must be ambitious
- You must be able to work well under pressure
- You must be resilient
- You must be energetic
- You must be solution oriented
- You must be able to work well in a team
- You must pay close attention to detail
- Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply
- Preference will be given to students from designated groups
