CORE PURPOSE: Dedicated technical Intern to maintain the CISCO practical labs

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Setup of Cisco practical lab environments on a weekly basis
  • Post-prac organisation and tidying of lab environment
  • Control of Lab equipment
  • Lab assistance in weekly network practicals
  • Monitor lab usage and adherence of lab rules
  • Assist with test administration including End-user tests

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Organisation skills
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Cisco networking topics
  • Maintenance of Cisco lab devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Maintenance of lab cables
  • Maintenance of lab PCs

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualification Dip : Information Technology in Communication Networks or
Support Services (average of 65% or above required)

Additional Qualities:

  • Passion for academia
  • Interest in student development
  • Leadership/mentorship roles

The School of IT: CISCO TECHNICAL INTERN
Contract Position to commence on 01 February 2023

Applications are invited for the above position from suitably qualified and experienced Ggeberha
(Port Elizabeth)-based candidates.

Please note that this is a 11 month full-time contract position.
