Globeleq Education Trust: Bursaries 2025
The Globeleq Education Trust is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2025 academic year.
Bursaries will be awarded for studies within Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) – related fields.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- You must be studying or intend on studying full-time, preferably within a STEM-related field (Higher Certificate, Diploma, Degrees or equivalentĀ NQF-rated qualification)
- You must be studying or registered to study at a recognised and accredited higher education institution in South Africa
- You must be interested in renewable energy
- You must be unemployed (not working full-time or part-time in 2025) and must not have worked full-time before 2025

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your online application:
- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric term 2 report, if currently in Matric (with school stamp)
- Matric certificate, if completed Matric (certified copy)
- Current student: latest/ June 2024 Official Academic Transcripts (or official institution report) (certified copy)
- Current student: 2024 official Proof of Registration at university (official document from university)
- 2025 acceptance letter from an accredited institution
- Curriculum VitaeĀ stating your work experience and background (lack of experience will not disadvantage your application)
- Statement briefly explaining why you chose your particular field of study, how you plan to use your qualification after graduation and how the bursary provider will benefit by funding you (1-2 pages)
- Recommendation letter from someone who can attest to your personal character and/or your academic performance, with their contact details, NOT a family member or friend (1 page)
- Parents or guardians ID documents or death certificates (certified copy)
- Parents or guardians proof of household income (latest payslips if employed /Ā affidavitĀ if unemployed, SASSA grant if applicable)
- Students under 18: a completed and signedĀ consent formĀ by your parent or legal guardian
- Students under 18: parents or guardians ID documents (certified copies)
- If disabled: Department of Labour Employment Equity Act (EEA1) Form AND a Doctorsā Letter
- If funded by another bursary/ NSFAS: bursary agreement/ letter/ offer
