FASSET: Bursaries 2025

FASSET is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2025 academic year.

Bursaries will be for studies within the Finance and Accounting Services (FAS) Sector, as well as Information Technology (IT) related qualificationsand other national critical skills.

Requirements / Selection Criteria:

For Unemployed Learners:

  • Only South African citizens are eligible to apply
  • A learner must be from a combined household income not exceeding R1 000 000 per annum.
  • Learners must be registered or have been accepted at a Public University or University of Technology or TVET college.
  • The selected qualifications should be within FAS sector however preference will be given to IT related qualifications and other national critical skills.
  • The bursary funding will be capped at R100 000 for university learners, and R40 000 for TVET per beneficiary, per annum
  • The bursary funding covers:Ā Tuition Fees, Prescribed textbooks, Accommodation and Meal allowances

For Learners in a Learning Development Programme – Interns and Trainees:

  • Learners must be registered or have been accepted at a Public University or University of Technology or TVET college.
  • The selected qualifications should be within Finance and Accounting Services (FAS)Ā sector however preference will be given to IT related qualifications and other national critical skills.
  • The bursary funding will be capped at R100 000 for university learners, and R40 000 for TVET per beneficiary, per annum.
  • The bursary funding covers tuition Fees and prescribed textbooks only.

NB. Selection will be on a first come first served basis. However, priority will be afforded to academic achievements.

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form:

  • ID document (certified copy) (not older than 6 months)
  • Matric trial exam results, if currently in Matric
  • Highest Qualification & Academic record (certified copy) (not older than 6 months)
  • Proof of registration or acceptance at an approved tertiary institution (stamped/signed)
  • Parents or guardians ID documents or death certificates (certified copies) (not older than 6 months)
  • Parents or guardians proof of household income (latest payslips if employed,Ā affidavitĀ if unemployed, proof of pension or grant if applicable)
  • Proof of address
