The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) invites confident and dynamic unemployed individuals to participate in theĀ General Internship and Cadet Programmes.

Stipend: R7 450.63 per month

Duration: 24 months contract

Cadet Programme 2025 – 2027

  • Development Studies,

  • International Relations

General Internship Programme 2025 – 2027

Reference No: General Internship

Must have a 3-year NQF Level 7 qualification within the following fields:

  • Tourism & Hospitality Management,
  • Supply Chain Management,
  • Human Resource Management
  • Public Administration.
  • Records Management
  • Information Science,
  • Graphic Design /Ā Communications

Selection Criteria:

  • Must have the relevant qualification (see above)
  • Only first time Cadet, Internship or Learnership Programme applicants will be considered.
  • Only South African citizens between the ages of 18 – 35Ā years old on the closing date of applications are eligible to apply.

  • Applicants will be expected to be available for selection and interviews at a predetermined time, date and place.

  • Candidates will also be subjected to a process of technical assessments.
  • If you are in possession of foreign qualifications, an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) must accompany your application.
