Bitou Municipality: Bursaries for 2023
Notice is hereby given that the closing date for applications for financial assistance towards further studies during the 2023 academic year has been extended to Friday, January 27, 2023. This is due to the fact that the Matric Results for the 2022 Academic Year is only coming out after the original closing date, which was January 15, 2023.
Applications are invited from students currently at Accredited Learning Institutions and learners who are currently in Grade 12 or have passed Grade 12, for financial assistance towards further studies during the 2023 academic year.
The financial contribution by Bitou Municipality is restricted to full-time study and attendance at SAQA accredited Tertiary, only university and Technicon students.
Fields of study:
Bursaries are available for studies in the following fields:
- Public Administration / Business Management
- Engineering (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Roads and Infrastructure)
- Engineering Analytical chemistry / civil engineering
- Supply Chain Management
- Local economic development /Tourism
- Internal Auditing

NB. The bitou municipality will only consider completed applications if the documents mentioned below have been included.
Required Documents:
- A detailed Curriculum Vitae and cover letter,
- Application form,
- Certified copies of the following documentation must be attached:
- Latest or Grade 12 results or equal qualification;
- latest examination results of students currently enrolled at tertiary institutions;
- certified copy of I.D.;
- affidavit of parents’ combined income and proof of residential address.
