Responsibilities:
- Participate in and maintain activities relating to the World Class Manufacturing Programme (WCM)
- Report all hazards to Production supervisor and log these hazards as per hazard spotting programme.
- Ensure that all safety critical plant, equipment and vehicles are in good working order at all times and maintain records thereof.
- Ensure that all quality critical plant and equipment are in good working order at all times and maintain records thereof.
- Attend and participate in all plant production and safety meetings.
- Make sure that all PPE is in good order before use.
- Weigh-out raw materials accurately according to the works order requirements.
- Perform specific activities with the assistance of computer systems.
- Manufacture products according to manufacturing instructions and adhere to safety and quality rules and standards at all times.
- Responsible for good housekeeping and safety in area of work. Adhere to all safety requirements.
- Make sure all production records is continiously updated for each works order eg. Log sheets, Check sheets
- Label product containers and Pack out product once QC Passed according to works order and adhere to safety and quality rules and standards at all times.
- Clean plant and equipment thoroughly to prevent possible contamination of the next product batch. Adhere to all quality standards.
- Re-pack product when necessary according to works order
- Transport finished product between the plant and the warehouse
Requirements:
- Grade 12/Matric or N3 with maths and science is essential
- Computer skills – words/excel
