Moshal Scholarship Programme 2024
The Moshal Program is inviting students to apply for their scholarship programme, for the 2024 academic year. Scholarships will be awarded for Degree studies within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)and Commerce fields, at selected universities:
Science:
- Dentistry
- Medicine (MBChB)
- Pharmacy (only at the University of KwaZulu-Natal)
- Veterinary Science
Technology:
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Information Science
- Information Systems
- Information Technology
Engineering:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronic Engineering
Mathematics:
- Actuarial Science
- Econometrics
- Mathematics
- Statistics
Commerce:
- Accounting
- Economics
- Financial Sciences
- Investment Management
- Management Sciences

Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:
- You must be studying or intend on studying towards a Degree within one of the fields listed above, in 2024
- You must be studying or intend on studying at one of the following selected universities:
- University of Witwatersrand (Wits)
- University of Pretoria (UP)
- University of Cape Town (UCT)
- Stellenbosch University (SUN)
- University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)
- University of Free State (UFS)
- University of Johannesburg (UJ)
- You must have achieved a minimum result of 70% for English, Mathematics, Physical Science and/or Accounting
- You must have a family income of NOT more than R200 000 per annum (before deductions)

Required Documents:
Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your application:
- ID document copy
- Passport copy and study visa copy ā if not a South African citizen
- Parents or guardians ID copies
- Declaration / Consent Form signed by parents or guardian ā if you are under 18 years old
- Proof of all Social Grants (letter or statement, not copy of SASSA card) OR parents or guardians 3 monthsā bank statements from ALL of their bank accounts OR affidavit stating they donāt have a bank account
- Grade 11 November results
