The Rand Refinery Bursary Programme for the 2024 academic year is available for South African citizens pursuing undergraduate studies in specific fields.
Rand Refinery: Bursary Programme 2024
Fields of study:
Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate studies within the following fields:
- Analytical Chemistry
- Chemical Process Engineering
- Commercial Studies (including Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Law, IT and more)
- Electrical Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Quality Management Systems
- Robotics and Advanced Control
Eligibility Requirements:
- South African citizenship is mandatory.
- Applicants should be between 18 and 25 years old.
- Must have completed Matric and pursuing an undergraduate degree in one of the specified fields.
- Open to students in their first, second, or third year of study.
- Studying at a recognized and accredited South African University or University of Technology.
- Should have achieved a minimum overall average of 70% in the first year of study.
The bursary covers the following expenses:
- Full tuition fees
- Prescribed books and stationery
- Laptop
- Accommodation
- Meals
- Monthly stipend
- Social support throughout the study period
