GIBB: YES Internship Programme 2024 / 2025
The YES (Youth Employment Service) Programme is a business-led collaboration with government. YES seeks to reduce youth unemployment across private and public sectors. The aim is to enable more youth to develop new skills, gain meaningful workplace experience and earn a salary, which will in turn significantly improve their chances of finding long-term employment.
Locations: Gauteng, Cape Town and East London
The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:
GIBB YES Programme – Business
National Diploma or Degree in:
- Business
- Finance / Accounting
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
- Project
- Bid Admin
GIBB YES Programme – Engineering / IT
Must have any of the following:
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Completed a course in Software Development.
GIBB YES Programme – Water and Integrated Infrastructure
- Grade 12 with Mathematics, Science and English
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering
GIBB YES Programme – Electrical Engineering
- Grade 12 with Mathematics, Science and English
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
GIBB YES Programme – Mechanical Engineering
- Grade 12 with Mathematics, Science and English
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
GIBB YES Programme – Human Capital Management
- National Diploma or Degree in: Human Resources
GIBB YES Programme – Engineering / Admin / IT
Must have any of the following:
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- National Diploma in Administration or similar.
- Qualification as a Computer Technician with A+ and N+ certification.Â
Selection Criteria:
In addition to the above requirements, we will also consider the following in our selection of candidates:
- You are a South African Citizen (must be born in South Africa).
- You are aged between 18 to 35.
- You are unemployed and available to be employed on a 12 month Fixed Term contract.
- You are not a previous YES beneficiary.Â
- Must be PC Literate.
- You have the aspiration to learn new skills related to your relevant field.
- You are a responsible and honest person.
