Signa Artisans in Motion have a training opportunity for an unemployed youth in South Africa to join a 3-year apprentice programme at our Jet Park branch in Johannesburg. The purpose of this qualification is to develop the knowledge and skills required by employees in an engineering support environment. It provides an opportunity for learners to acquire and apply skills relevant to the workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Observing, learning, and understanding a wide range of technical skill modules and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical staff.
- Ability to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training period progresses by working independently or with a team.
- Undertake tasks as instructed and increase overall contribution to the organisation.
- Undertake and complete prescribed apprentice modules as per QCTO throughout the training period, achieving the theoretical knowledge and practical skills requirements.
- Learning and understanding the importance of health and safety within the workspace.
- Learn how to maintain workshop equipment and to keep it in good repair.
- Maintain a logbook for the apprenticeship period, recording projects that have been undertaken and the skills learned.
- Maintain and ensure general good housekeeping of the workplace.
- Always maintain a smart appearance and act professionally.
- Perform any other duties appropriate to the role.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Maths and Science.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- N2 Completed
